    CWS 500N3 - Testing of ripple noise and magnetic fields

    Key applications of the CWS 500N3 are in the automotive and aerospace area. Various international standards and MIL requirements call for magnetic field tests in the low frequency range. Apart from this the automotive industry requires conducted immunity tests with superposed sinusoidal signals on the DC supply voltage (ripple noise). For both applications the CWS 500N3 is the perfect equipment including everything in a single box, necessary for these tests.

    The CWS 500N3 meets requirements of SAE J1113-2, ISO 11452-8, DO 160D/E Section 18 and MIL-STD-461 D/E/F/G CS101, CS109 and RS101.

    Low frequency testing out of one single box - Easy, fast and reliable

    The CWS 500N3 is the state-of-the-art solution in a compact single-box design to test the immunity to conducted low-frequency disturbances and low-frequency magnetic fields. The CWS 500N3 includes a LF signal generator and amplifer, a low-frequency transformer 2:1, a frequency- selective voltage/current meter and load resistors as required by the standards. For remote control via icd.control software both a GPIB and USB interface are available. icd.control software supports the test routines, controls external measuring devices and automatically generates a test report including all test data.



    Operation


    Easy to operate

    Front panel menu and function keys enable the user to program his test routines quickly and accurately. The cursor allows fast control of all test parameters of the programmed routine, thus test procedures are simplified and confidence is generated that every step is carried out correctly.

    icd.control - The software that makes your CWS 500N3 a complete LF test system

    Software CWS 500N3icd.control software supports testing of immunity to conducted low frequency disturbances and low frequency magnetic fields as per international standards and manufacturer requirements based on the integrated standards library. A test report is generated including all test results.

The CWS 500N family not only covers the frequency range mostly required for industrial test applications based on IEC 61000-4-6 but EM TEST also offers dedicated solutions for the low frequency range as well as for BCI (Bulk Current Injection), TEM cell or Stripline applications in the automotive, aerospace and military area. 

    The CWS 500N4 covers the requirements as per IEC 61000-4-16 for low frequency test applications required for testing electrical and electronic equipment with the application of common mode disturbances to power supply, control, signal and communication ports.
